Tendeka, the completions technology provider, and wellbore modeling and data management specialist FloQuest have announced an exclusive strategic alliance.

Launched earlier this year, Tendeka combines digital monitoring solutions provider, Sensornet, swellable elastomers experts, Swellfix, and wireless well communication and downhole instrumentation specialists, Well Technology. Its aim is to consolidate specialist solutions for increased efficiency in well completions and production.


Having worked alongside Sensornet for the past two years, this new alliance will see FloQuest extend its exclusive agreement for the next three years, collaborating with all three Tendeka family companies and complimenting the groups existing technology portfolio.


The agreement will give Tendeka unique access to the full FloQuest product range within the oil and gas service sector. FloQuest will continue to provide software solutions directly to clients within operating companies.


UK-based FloQuest provides industry leading wellbore flow modeling and in-well data management in all of the key oil and gas producing regions. In addition, it also provides software for the visualisation and interpretation of distributed temperature and other downhole sensors. This allows for the easy access and better utilisation of production data, to ensure maximum return on monitoring investments.

Speed and precision are at least as important as size and strength. The same is true in WoW PvP combat. Every fraction of a second counts, and if you make a mistake, it could be all over. Let's face it, swinging a little piece of plastic madly across your desk is not the fastest or most precise way to get things done. This is where macros come into the picture for gamers.

WoW macros are sets of commands that you can tell the game to run for you. Each command in a macro is equivalent to a button click or other command that you would use when playing with the keyboard and mouse. A command in a macro might look like this:

/cast Faerie Fire

Not surprisingly, this is a command to cast the Faerie Fire spell. Each macro consists of one or more commands that are grouped together and attached to a button on one of the Action Bars. When you click the icon for the macro, the game runs all the commands (if possible) in the macro.

Within limits, macros can do anything for you that you could do with the keyboard or mouse. And they can do it with a single click or hotkey. This ability to execute a long string of commands quickly and precisely when you click a single button is what makes macros so important for PvP combat.

Until you've done some, you have no idea how intense player versus player action can get. It doesn't take much of a mistake to get your character killed, and it isn't any fun. Imagine how much more effective your character can be in PvP when all it takes is a single click or keystroke to fire off an entire combat sequence, without any extra delay for scrolling or mis-clicks.

In order to get the deepest focus possible, you need to make sure that your pictures have the foreground, mid-ground and backgrounds clear and concise, through knowledgeable use of the camera lens you are using and allowing a large amount of light using a small aperture. It is the aperture of the lens that determines the depth of field and is part of being able to get the deepest focus possible.

This means in order to get the deepest focus possible, you need a smaller aperture. Depending on your depth of field, you will want to consider using the smallest f/stop possible with your lens in order to get the clearest focus, although small apertures up close can also take some sharpness and focus away, due to the slower shutter speed.

Another thing to be aware of is that small apertures can cause diffraction and it doesn?t take much movement of the camera during exposure to create deep focus problems when photographing a small area or object, especially one that is up close.

The less depth of field available might dictate a few adjustments to get the deepest focus possible. Using a higher ISO setting can make a difference in giving more sharpness when it comes to shutter speed. Also, using a tripod helps when photographing a non-moving subject or indoors. If the wind is blowing outdoors, it may not help because your subject may be in and out of focus.

Another way to get the deepest focus possible is to shoot multiple shots with the continuous shooting setting. Chances are that one of the shots will be better than the others, which will be more out of focus due to the slower shutter speed.

Another thing to keep in mind when you want to get the deepest focus possible is to watch the plane of focus. The plane of focus is parallel to the back of your camera typically. By tilting your camera to be parallel with the main surface of your subject, it can give the appearance of deep focus when the depth of field is shallow.

You can also try using a flash, which can help freeze the camera movement or use a tilt-shift lens to move the plane of focus, which can have some different effects by moving them away from the planes of the subject.

You may also be able to get the deepest focus possible by using the mid-range f/stops, such as f/8 or f/11, if you are shooting close-ups, to allow it to focus at macro distances, when using extension tubes, especially. The best way to get the deepest focus possible is to experiment with the f/stop positions, because one may seem blurry and the next setting will be clear and concise.

On landscape pictures, you may need to set the f/stops at f/16 or f/22 to get the deepest focus possible and to get a sharper picture. Balancing a wide depth of focus with the best f/stop positions can take a little practice. It is possible to get the deepest focus possible once you learn to apply the correct settings for the light and subject matter you are photographing.

I know this will upset some people so let me make it clear that I'm talking to small business owners and entrepreneurs...not large corporations. Branding is one of those marketing tools that's waived in front of new entrepreneurs as THE most important thing they need right now. I strongly disagree...

The Myth about Branding Branding is sold as the saving lifejacket for entrepreneurs but that's a myth. It's one of many tools...and not the most important.

I saw the myth in full force last week at a business seminar here in South Florida. I stood at the side of the room and watched 87 eager entrepreneurs being hypnotized by an expert on branding. The speaker was sincere and intelligent...it's just that the audience wasn't at the point in their business where they needed branding. They needed clients!

But the speaker showed one commercial after another of Gap, Apple, IBM..all showing the importance of branding. Everyone lapped it all in...and completely missed the elephant in the room...

These were new entrepreneurs -- NOT multi-billion dollar companies with millions to spend on branding. Why would they even THINK about logos and branding when most of them were still figuring out who their target market was?

Your Logo Won't Make You Money Stop spending thousands of dollars hair-splitting about the color of your logo! Spend your time developing a headline that converts prospects to leads and leads to clients. Spend your money becoming an expert in your industry. Spend your time POSITIONING yourself as the expert your target market wants to hire..because THESE efforts will translate to money in the bank.

I remember I spoke at an event last winter about the power of knowing your target market, writing a winning headline, and converting leads to clients.

Seconds after I finished speaking a woman rushed up to me with a piece of paper in her hand and an eager look in her eye, "Will you look at my logo please?"

I held back the temptation to roll my eyes..."Sure!" I said.

She was a coach and trainer that taught success principles. Her logo was clean -easy to read - nice font, nice color...but right next to her company name was a huge picture of a seashell!

I immediately asked, "What's up with the seashell!?"

She said, "Oh that's a symbol of the Greek mythology about [blah, blah, blah] and it related to my astrological sign because [blah, blah, blah]..."

"Loose the seashell," I said before she could finish. I put my hand on her shoulder and softened my voice to break the news, "Nobody but you cares...besides the seashell won't make you money."

Think Positioning - Not Branding The position you hold in the minds of your target market is more important than your logo color. If you are known as an expert in your field, then who cares what font you use? People will work with you because you've proven that you can solve their problems...and THAT'S what people really care about.

Sure, you may want to invest in a branding makeover at some point...but it's just not necessary while you're building the foundation of your business. Once your practice is flooded with clients and there's plenty of cash in the bank, then go ahead and get that professional polish. But in the beginning, focus your efforts on establishing your position in the market place.

Two Steps to Create Your Brand in 30 Seconds or Less Step 1 - Your position in the market place starts with your name (Not your company name - just the name that everyone already calls you by.) Simple. In the beginning, your name is your brand.

Step 2 - You also want to create an identity...you want to position yourself in the minds of your target market. This is very easy to do. Think of what you want to be known as. To do this takes less than 30 seconds...

Simply answer this simple question: "If someone knows of you but can't remember your name, what do they type into Google to find you?"

Whatever they type in...THAT'S what you want to be known as. Build your positioning around that word or phrase. The keyword or phrase your target market thinks of when they think of you is your brand.

That word or phrase will be obvious and simple. Avoid trying to be clever. Once you know that word or phrase, leverage it in your marketing message. For example, I'm "The Info Product Guy." Dari review PC World yang dikutip Washington Post, Senin (22/6/2009), menunjukkan beberapa keunggulan Firefox 3.5 RC2. Ini tentu saja menjadi langkah yang baik untuk para pengguna, sebelum akhirnya Mozilla menghadirkan Firefox 3.5 versi finalnya.

Browsing yang bersifat pribadi

Maksudnya, dalam layanan ini mode Firefox tidak akan menyimpan apapun jejak penggunaan saat menjelajah di internet seperti history, cookies, usernames ataupun password. Walaupun ini sudah jamak pada browsing lain versi terbaru, tentu ini menjadi indikasi bagus mencegah kejahatan internet yang marak terjadi.

Yang istimewa, Firefox 3.5 tidak memberitahukan kepada penggunanya saat menjalankan aplikasi tersebut. Ini berbeda dengan Incognito mode pada Google Chrome, atau InPrivate pada IE 8.

Kendati memiliki penghilang jejak history, fitur 'pribadi' ini memiliki kekurangan yaitu, tanpa menghilangkan subfoldernya. Sebagai contoh, ketika Anda akan membuka okezone.com, subfoldernya techo.okezone.com, tidak bisa dihapus jejaknya.

Professional game designers need some pretty hardcore skills. They need computer programming, digital animation, physics and math skills. This is to enter what was in 2005 a 31 billion-dollar-a-year industry worldwide. The road is not easy to land that prized job at the major game making companies such as Electronic Arts and Sony. There are four ways to get the knowledge necessary to make video games depending on if you want to compete for an elite job at one of the big companies or if you just want to tinker around on weekends. Also, you have to take into consideration your age. There are different options available for adults as compared to minors. You could spend four years at a traditional university. You could spend two or more years at a specialty school. There are summer camps available for teens, usually two week programs. And finally there are online tutorials. If you’re like me, you’re an adult who has some creative ideas but who doesn’t want to devote a lot of time to creating video games. I’m going to run down the options available in this article and then I will tell you what worked for me at the end.

First there are traditional college game design courses. Many fall under the title of digital media degrees. The advantage of a traditional design course is that some students get immediate job offers from the big corporations. When these corporations recruit they usually go to these schools. The major disadvantage of these schools is the cost. A degree can cost close to $100,000 for an out of state student. Then you have to add in the cost of the extra years spent on courses unrelated to video game creation but required by the school for a degree. I’m talking about the foreign languages, English and some sciences. This time could be spent earning money creating games. Another drawback is that they are limited to high school graduates only. Also due to their inflexibility in schedule, a working adult with a family would find it impossible to participate. The most popular traditional schools for video game making are Georgia Tech, Carnegie Mellon and USC.

Next, there are the specialty colleges. These colleges are created specifically to train people on the vocation they choose. They differ in that some were created only to train game makers like digipen and fullsail. Others have a variety of offerings like Devry and ITT tech. Either way, once you start, you immediately get into game design courses. Some of these schools get immediate job offers for their graduates. They range in length from 18 month programs to 3 year programs with accelerated training paths. They tend to not be as expensive as traditional schools; however, you will be shelling out quite a bit of money. The schools that specialize only in game making have schedules that are just as inflexible as traditional colleges. The multi offering institutions usually have more flexibility. Some offer evening classes or even online classes. Again, like traditional colleges most are limited to high school graduates, but the multi offering schools do offer more options to working adults.

Next on the list are summer camps. These camps are starting to pop up with more frequency ever summer. They teach minors under the age of 19. This give focused training on game creation for either a full or half a day. Most programs are from one to two weeks long. This is great for that period of time when there is not much to do. It also gives kids a chance to make friends with other kids who share the same interest. However, these pluses come with a cost and usually a pretty substantial one. They can run two to three times more expensive than traditional summer camps and day care. And while their schedules fit the lives of many kids they do not fit the schedule of kids with other commitments like sports. Many of them run their program for one or two week periods during the summer. Then there is the fact that summer vacation has to be planned around camp instead of the other way around. This can be a pain. A couple of the more popular camps are Emagination and iD Tech Camps. Both of these camps are sponsored by colleges.

The final options are online tutorials that teach video game creation. Most are low cost or free. They are downloadable so the access is immediate. Suitable for any age and will give you the ultimate in flexibility as far as scheduling. Heck, you use it when you’re good and ready, be it 2 in the afternoon or 2 in the morning. So what are the drawbacks? Well, some can be hard to follow, especially the all text tutorials. There are plenty of multimedia tutorials out there that are easier to follow; however, there is almost always a part where the tutorial doesn’t match up with what’s on your screen. At that point, there is no one to call and you either figure it out or get frustrated and quit. A couple of sites with tutorials are Juniorgamemaker and yoyo games.

Now for my decision. Because I am a working man and I do not want game making to be a profession, the college option was ruled out. Even going to an online college would be a hassle due to the time it would take and the cost is prohibitive. I’ve got three kids lined up for college in the not to distant future so I have to watch my spending. Of course at my age, I can’t do a summer camp, however, I find it hard to schedule one for my kids because of softball, football, vacations and other things that pop up over the summer. For me my best option is the downloadable video tutorials. I paid 12.95 for one from http://www.juniorgamemaker.com and I must admit I’m pretty satisfied. I sat down with my kids and we went through the whole tutorial in about 2 hours and actually created a game with our own characters. This one is simple enough that we didn’t have any gotcha moments when the tutorial doesn’t match what’s on our screen. All in all it was a good experience and I’m really exited about the classes they will soon be offering. I sent an email to the company and they said they will be rolling out short, 1 and half hour classes convenient for the schedules of adults and kids alike for a reasonable fee. One of the greatest fun in Galaxy Online is that you could design your own unique warship using different kinds of hulls and modules.

You could always build lots of galactic warships with different features. But sometimes, you are spoiled with choices and just don’t know how to start. Don’t worry. Here’s some useful tips.

1.When you’re fighting pirates, just find out what their ships are made of. For example, in the Training Field Instance, the pirate warship model A3 is using Seaborne Aircraft Level 5. It is a long-ranged and very powerful weapon so you might build a long range ship to deal with them.

2.Basically, you will need 3 types of warship in your fleet. First of all, supply ships. Yeah ,they are the most important ones. Because your fleet won’t do a thing if it runs out of supplies.

3.Second, heavy battleships. They are the main power of a fleet. They specialize in heavy firepower and deal very well with enemy ships. But they are very slow so they could be hit by fast-moving warship pretty bad and unable to fight back.

4.Third, long-range swift assault warships. They could attack enemy ships from a long way and they move very fast and with a very high possibility of dodging enemy attacks.

5.Sometimes you just have to balance between a swarm of mediocre warships and couple of elite warships which cost a lot of resources.

You will need to think hard to come up with your perfect warship in Galaxy Online. Because as it is said:”it’s a space strategy game, online space game that based on strategy”.

Here is a quick summary of what cooking in WoW is about.

Cooking , a secondary skill, is used by all classes as a way to re-gain health. A melee class that cannot do a health regen will need food and want to buy food after combat to re-gain their health points.

If a healers mana is running low they will need food to re-gain health to save their mana. After battle you can choose a still location to regain your health by cooking up some food before going out to grind some mobs again. Meat , eggs and fish can be cooked to restore health and this is very handy when going on raids.

If you want to level your cooking quicker and easier then include fishing as well. You can level up cooking and fishing together easier.

What do you require to start cooking? You should be trained by a trainer, you will require the ability to create fire too, need materials to create a fire such as , wood, flint and tinder and possibly some spices that are required in certain recipes. This can all be purchased from merchants or the AH. You can make a reasonable sum of gold if you sell you cooked recipes to other World Of Warcraft players who might need that specific recipe for a buff. Start cooking your butt off to make your gold. When Blizzard released the Burning Crusade expansion, cooking’s popularity rose greatly as there where new opportunities made available.

If you need to get new recipes.

An in-game friend can always give you a recipe that you require. You can buy recipes from a vendor or receive recipes from monster drops, chests or once you have completed a certain quest. The AH is always a good place for recipes.

A fast reminder.

If you don’t have fishing these recipes might be of importance to you if you want to level cooking to level 300. They are Charred Bear Kebabs and Juicy Bear Burgers. You can purchase both of these recipes if you wish in Felwood. Alliance from Malygen and Horde from Bale.

Please note: The recipes just mentioned involve meat from level 48-56 bears and you need to be level 250 on your cooking skill.

To earn some gold you can always take part in the daily cooking quests from the Rokk at the lake north of Shattrath City.
